A new energy-saving record was set for the emirate during Saturday evening's Earth Hour event. More than 5,500 people took part in a march along Jumeirah Beach Road, and lights and electrical appliances were switched off in homes, offices and landmark buildings across Dubai as well as other parts of the UAE. EVERETT - The Navy will kick off its $31 million Advanced Meter Infrastructure Initiative with a ground-breaking ceremony Monday at Naval Station Everett. It's the Navy's largest Recovery Act project in the Northwest, and includes Naval Station Everett, Naval Base Kitsap and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
